Faces of Ambition: Cipriana Rizea - The Runway Rebel
Faces of Ambition: Cipriana Rizea
Model. Visionary. The woman rewriting the rules - known as The Runway Rebel

What’s something you’re currently working on or building that means a lot to you?
I Am the Runway Rebel
Right now, I’m focused on building my modeling career, owning my identity as The Runway Rebel, and creating a legacy that inspires others. Despite only modeling for six months, I’ve already walked New York Fashion Week, and I was invited back for New York in February. I’ve also been booked for Amsterdam Fashion Week. Each opportunity reminds me that passion, perseverance, and dedication can open doors faster than anyone might expect.
Modeling didn’t just happen to me - I fought for it. I studied poses late at night, practiced my walk until my feet ached, and worked relentlessly to refine my craft. I didn’t come from connections or privilege. I built my path through pure passion, perseverance, and faith in myself. My success in such a short time is a reflection of that - of how much I love this industry, how much I believe in it, and how much I’ve poured into it.
That passion has carried me far - in only half a year, I’ve been published multiple times and graced two magazine covers: La Modèle Magazine, based in Paris, and Mirror Magazine, which named me The Runway Rebel. When I first saw those words next to my name, I felt them resonate in my chest. The Runway Rebel - it was more than a title. It was my truth. I’ve never followed the rules, I’ve rewritten them. I’ve walked into rooms where no one expected me to belong - and left them knowing I did.
Modeling, for me, is passion and purpose intertwined. It’s the art of emotion - the way stillness can speak louder than words, the way movement can tell a story without a single sound. When I’m in front of a camera or on a runway, it’s not about perfection. It’s about power. It’s about the energy that comes from standing tall after everything that tried to knock me down.
Every shoot I do has meaning. Every image captures a piece of my evolution - the quiet strength, the confidence, the defiance. Because I am not just a pretty face. I am every scar I’ve turned into art, every heartbreak I’ve turned into drive, and every doubt I’ve transformed into determination.
I want my story to stand as proof that where you come from doesn’t define where you’re going. You don’t need a perfect background or an easy start to create something extraordinary. You need passion, you need hunger, and you need the courage to keep showing up - even when no one’s watching, even when the odds are against you. That’s what I’ve done, and that’s what I’ll keep doing.
I want to be that inspiration - the woman others can look at and think, “If she could rise from everything she’s faced and still shine, then so can I.” Because that’s the legacy I want to leave behind. Not just the covers, not just the runways, but the message that you can rebuild yourself from the ground up and still walk with grace, power, and pride.
I’ve learned that true beauty lives in authenticity - in the fire behind your eyes, the strength in your voice, the purpose in your stride. That’s what modeling means to me. It’s not about fitting in; it’s about standing out, owning your truth, and daring to be unforgettable.
So yes, I’m The Runway Rebel. And I wear that title proudly - because it carries everything I am and everything I’ve overcome. I am the woman who turned her pain into passion, her dreams into drive, and her ambition into art. This is only the beginning of my story, and I promise - I’m going to make it impossible to ignore.

What inspired you to start (or keep going) in your lane?
What inspired me to keep going in my lane was knowing that my story wasn’t over - that everything I’d been through was shaping me into the woman I was meant to become. There were moments where I could’ve given up, moments where doubt and pain felt louder than my dreams. But deep down, I knew I was made for more. That fire inside me - the one that refused to go out - became my reason.
I kept going because modeling became my purpose. It gave me a voice when I didn’t have one, and it gave me strength when I thought I’d lost mine. Every time I stepped in front of a camera or onto a runway, I felt myself taking my power back. That’s what keeps me grounded - knowing that I turned my struggle into art, and my pain into presence.
What really drives me is the thought that my journey might inspire someone else - a girl who feels unseen, a woman rebuilding herself, someone who’s been told she’s not enough. I want them to look at me and realize they can rise too. That your background doesn’t define your worth, and you don’t need anyone’s validation to chase your vision.
I’ve learned that staying in your own lane is an act of rebellion in itself. I didn’t follow trends, I built my own rhythm. I didn’t wait for permission; I created opportunities. I didn’t fit into the mold - I shattered it. That’s why I’m proud to be called The Runway Rebel. It’s not just a name - it’s my truth. I’m not here to blend in; I’m here to stand out, to lead, to make people feel something real.
Passion is what fuels me. It’s why I’ve accomplished so much in such a short time - because I don’t just model, I live it, breathe it, and pour my soul into it. Every photo, every walk, every cover tells a piece of who I am. And I’m not done yet. I’m still writing my story, still fighting for my place, still proving that when you stay in your lane and lead with purpose, nothing and no one can stop you.

What’s a moment you’re proud of - but rarely talk about?
A moment I’m proud of, but rarely talk about, was my very first runway show - Arizona Fashion Week 2025 with FADAMA Academy.
I didn’t come from the typical modeling background I hadn’t grown up in this world or trained from a young age. I didn’t have years of experience or a runway-filled portfolio. What I had was passion, drive, and an unshakable desire to prove to myself that I could belong in this industry.
Before the show, there were weeks of intensive training. Every day, I worked on perfecting my posture, my walk, my confidence, and the way I commanded space. I studied how to move like I belonged, even when my nerves wanted to make me small. My incredible runway instructor, Jose Trifilio, guided me through every step - teaching me that walking a runway isn’t just about steps and angles, it’s about presence, power, and owning the story you want to tell.
When the night of the show finally arrived, I was walking for five designers. Standing backstage, I could feel the electricity in the air - the murmur of the crowd, the flashes of cameras, the heartbeat of a thousand eyes waiting to see us. My heels felt heavier than they ever had before. My nerves were wild, and my heart was racing so fast it felt like it might burst. For a moment, I questioned if I truly belonged here.
Then I stepped onto the runway.
The moment my foot officially hit that stage, it all changed. It felt real. It felt like everything I had worked for, every late night of practice, every doubt I had conquered, every ounce of passion I had poured in - it was all worth it. I felt a wave of empowerment wash over me, like I had finally arrived in my own skin. Every step I took was deliberate, confident, and strong. The music pulsed through me, the lights wrapped around me, and I could feel the energy of the audience - not as a pressure, but as a current that carried me forward.
Walking that runway for the first time wasn’t just performing; it was becoming. I felt tall, unstoppable, and fully seen for the first time. Not for my past, not for my struggles, not for what anyone thought I should be - but for the power I held in that very moment. I wasn’t walking for validation, I was walking for myself, claiming the space I had fought so hard to earn.
Looking back at old photos and footage from that night, I can see her - the girl stepping onto that runway for the very first time - and I realize she had no idea what was in store for her. She didn’t know she would leave such an impact, that she would grow into someone who would be called The Runway Rebel. She didn’t know the fire inside her would carry her further than she could have ever imagined.
I owe everything to FADAMA Academy. They were the ones who first discovered me and nurtured the spark before I even realized it was a flame. They gave me the tools, the guidance, and the belief to turn a dream into reality. Because of them, I walked that runway not just as a model, but as a force - powerful, unapologetic, and unstoppable.
That first runway was more than a debut - it was the moment I met the woman I was meant to become. That girl stepping onto the stage for the very first time had no idea she would make such an impact, no idea she would earn the title The Runway Rebel, and no idea that the fire she carried inside her would only grow stronger from that night forward.
That night taught me something I carry with me every day: when you step fully into your power, when you own your lane and refuse to shrink, the world has no choice but to notice. That first runway wasn’t the end of a journey - it was the beginning of a story I’m still writing, a story of fire, resilience, and a rebellion that refuses to be ignored. And I promise this: I’m just getting started.

What’s something you’ve overcome that shaped who you are today?
Less than two years ago, I was trapped in a domestic violence relationship. Even after I left, I felt like those years had marked me for life - like the fear, the pain, and the doubt would follow me forever. Every day was a battle, not just to survive, but to reclaim my sense of self. There were moments when I didn’t even recognize the girl I had become, when I wondered if I would ever feel whole, confident, or powerful again.
But it was in that struggle that my transformation began. I realized that true change doesn’t happen when life is easy - it happens in your hardest moments, when the weight of the world seems unbearable, and you have to choose whether to shrink or rise. I made the choice to rise. I discovered modeling, and it became more than a career - it became a way to reclaim my body, my voice, and my power. Every late-night practice, every shoot, every moment I showed up fully as myself became an act of courage. I poured everything I had — pain, fear, doubt - into passion, into energy, into presence. I turned the darkness into light, and the fire inside me began to grow.
Looking back now, I barely recognize the girl I was then. She was silenced, broken, and unsure if she could ever stand tall again. The woman I’ve become is strong, unapologetic, and unstoppable. I’ve learned that it’s in those moments of deepest pain that we discover our truest selves - the version of ourselves capable of rising higher than we ever imagined, the version that refuses to stay small, and the version that can turn struggle into art, fear into confidence, and heartbreak into drive.
This transformation didn’t happen overnight. It took relentless dedication, belief in myself when no one else did, and the courage to step into the unknown. Modeling became the lens through which I rebuilt my confidence, my identity, and my sense of purpose. It taught me that power isn’t about perfection or fitting in - it’s about showing up, owning your story, and embracing every scar, every challenge, and every triumph along the way.
The message I want to give to others, especially aspiring models, is this: your past does not define your future. Your struggles, even your darkest moments, can become the fuel for your growth and your power. It’s okay to start from scratch. It’s okay to feel scared. It’s okay to have doubts. What matters is that you keep showing up, keep trusting yourself, and never let fear hold you back. Embrace your uniqueness, work hard, and own your purpose. The woman you are becoming is waiting on the other side of your struggle - stronger, more confident, and unstoppable.
Even in the darkest moments, transformation is possible. You can rise. You can reclaim your power. You can step into your lane and leave a mark that inspires others. And that is the truth I want every aspiring model, and anyone facing their own battles, to carry with them: even in pain, even when the odds feel impossible, that’s where your best self is waiting to emerge.

Who or what keeps you grounded when things get hard?
When things get hard, what keeps me grounded is a combination of my inner strength and the people who have believed in me from the very beginning. I stay rooted in the reminder of where I came from - the struggles I’ve faced, the obstacles I’ve overcome, and the fire inside me that refuses to give up. I remember the girl I was less than two years ago, trapped in a domestic violence relationship, unsure if she could ever feel strong or whole again. Thinking about how far I’ve come reminds me that I am capable of rising above even the hardest moments.
It’s also the support of those who truly see me - mentors, friends, and family who have stood by me, believed in me, and reminded me of my worth when I started doubting myself. Their encouragement and guidance give me perspective when I feel lost, and their faith in me fuels my resilience. Even when I feel tired, frustrated, or unsure, I know I am not alone, and that knowledge is a steady anchor.
Modeling has taught me that strength is not just physical or visible — it’s emotional, mental, and spiritual. Walking into rooms where no one expects you to belong, showing up when the stakes feel high, and pushing through nerves and fear all require grounding. I find it in the lessons I’ve learned, in the people who lift me up, and in the truth that my past doesn’t define me - my choices do.
When life feels heavy, I remind myself that challenges are temporary, that every setback is an opportunity to grow, and that I have both the inner fire and the support around me to keep moving forward. Whether I’m on the runway, in front of a camera, or navigating life off stage, this grounding allows me to stay focused, resilient, and true to myself. It’s the quiet power behind my confidence, the reason I can rise again and again, and the force that keeps me striving toward my purpose, no matter how hard the journey gets.
Finish this sentence: “Right now, I’m focused on…”
Right now, I’m focused on building my career as a model, owning my identity as The Runway Rebel, and using my platform to inspire others to rise above their struggles and step into their power.
What’s one quote or phrase that speaks to how you live?
If someone’s watching you for motivation, what’s one thing you’d want them to know?
If someone is watching me for motivation, I want them to know this: no matter where you’re starting from no matter what you’ve been through, you are capable of rising. Life will test you - it will push you to your limits, make you doubt yourself, and sometimes try to make you feel small. But it’s in those moments of struggle, fear, and uncertainty that your true strength is revealed. The obstacles in your path aren’t there to stop you; they are there to teach you, to sharpen your resilience, and to show you just how powerful you can be.
I want people to know that transformation doesn’t happen in comfort zones. It happens when you choose to face your pain head-on, when you refuse to let your past dictate your future, and when you decide that your dreams and your purpose are worth fighting for. Even when it feels impossible, even when the odds are stacked against you, you can rise - stronger, wiser, and more capable than you ever imagined.
I want them to understand that showing up matters. Every time you take a step forward, even when it’s scary, even when you feel like no one is watching, you are building yourself, your confidence, and your story. Your struggles, your scars, and your doubts don’t weaken you - they fuel the fire inside you that will carry you through every challenge.
If I can rise from my past, reclaim my confidence, and step into my power as The Runway Rebel, then anyone can. Your story is yours to write, and every moment of perseverance, courage, and authenticity adds to it. So when you feel small, lost, or unsure, remember this: the hardest moments are the ones that shape you into your strongest, most unstoppable self. You are capable. You are worthy. And your best life, your true power, and your greatest impact are waiting for you - you just have to rise and claim them.
